Together, you and your baby will explore the surrealist works of Sidney Nolan and his peers, through sound and song, music-making, and a range of engaging multi-sensory activities.

Guided by early childhood music educator Jennifer Stevens-Ballenger, you will learn new ways to nurture and extend the natural musicianship within your baby. Suitable for babies in arms, crawlers and early walkers, and their grown-ups.

Prenatally your baby has been developing listening skills for music and already has a strong preference for the tonality of your voice over any other sound.

Your new baby …
can sing and is developing an understanding of pitch, dynamics, tone colour, form and musical duration. Because we know that a peak period for learning music is in the first year – when the neural pathways are being formed – we invite you to come and experience music with your baby as early as possible after birth and throughout infancy.

Our baby workshops …
will nurture the natural musician within your baby … in an a supportive and arts-rich environment. We know that the development of baby is a curly line … advanced through auditory, visual, tactile, motoric and kinaesthetic experiences. We will trace the line through multi-sensory activities … stimulating baby’s brain, developing sensory awareness thus spurring your baby’s growth and development.
