Nicholas says: “The Partridge String Quartet are wonderfully talented colleagues of mine and students/alumni of the Australian National Academy of Music. They took out Second Prize of the 2017 ANAM Chamber Music Competition, and right now they’re on a three-week international residency at the renowned Banff Centre in Canada (pictured above!), having been selected from a vast pool of experienced and professional string quartets.
When they return, I’m excited to have their support in performing two of the most beloved works in ensemble repertoire – Dvořák’s Piano Quintet andGrieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, using a special orchestral reduction for string quartet. We hope you can join us for an afternoon of simple lyricism, along with some tasty treats during interval! “
