5) The Set-Up:
2020 was a year of Online Concerts. Now, in 2021 we are delighted to be back with live-Concerts … but with the new addition of video screenings of performances from overseas students in Hong-Kong and Singapore.
For those of you who are first time performers at an MIM live-concert, here are some photos from 2019 to give you an idea of what to expect:
The room @ MLC for our concerts has a small step-stage. The guitars will be set up on this step-stage.The full-size drum kit and the grand piano will be moved in-out of position to suit the needs for each concert. You can see these positions in the photos here:
Some students perform with their teacher alongside – for confidence, to play in duet or for the teacher to turn the page of the music … others play alone ….
Students are supported by their teachers, by their family and by friends who attend the concert. At the end of the concert the nerves are gone, the relief is evident, the pride should be enormous … The applause is always warm and the audience is always appreciative … the joy in the room is HUGE!!
We look forward to seeing you at the concert.
