Posted by At the mid point of each Christmas Concert … the Moving Into Music students enjoyed a game of Musical Bingo.
The Musical Bingo Prize was a snack tray.
In Concert 1, Lauris held up the tray to show the players and the winner, Archer, the prize.
Piano teacher Nicholas Young glanced at the tray and immediately identified the music as Fur Elise!!!
Here began the fun and games …
In Concert 2 Oliver won. Lauris held up the tray again and asked if anyone could identify the music. Jae , piano student of Zac Hamilton Russell, recognised it, declared Fur Elise. Lauris, impressed, awarded him a prize for his effort!
In Concert 3 Flynn won. Lauris, again, held up the tray. No-one identified the music – it’s not such a standard piece for guitar and drum students! Lauris retold the story of Nicholas earlier and challenged students to look it up and sing it down the phone line to her in the coming days. Before the concert ended, Alice, guitar student of Kieran Colton, raised her hand … sang the first few lines and BINGO …Lauris awarded her a prize for a great effort!
